Planting with Natives

Using more native plants in your landscape is the perfect way to get more bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds into your yard, along with dozens of other beneficial insects; the flora and fauna of your local ecosystem evolved together and have the best working relationships. Planting a variety of plants that are specifically adapted to the climate where you live means that they will need less attention from you. Native plants are used to the high and low temperatures in your region, as well as the dry spells or the rainy season, and they’re going to have an easier time thriving in your landscape than non-native alternatives.
